Back in the early 2000s, David Letterman chucked a 5-pound bag of flour into a tank of water. But before he did, he asked Paul Shaffer if he thought it would sink or float. It was a game they played for our entertainment, including others, such as dropping stuff off a five-story building.
A few weeks after the flour episode, my mother sent me this photograph. On the back, she wrote:

This is a 5lb sack of flour floating in our pool — I had to make sure Letterman didn't put one over on us!!
Love to all!
Mom
Thank goodness she didn't try dropping it off the roof of the house. Or did she?
